The
Innovation Technology Laboratory (ITL) has developed several
traffic control systems following the requirements of the
European Community Union and several South American Governments.
In an effort to help to reduce the high quantity of accidents
in Argentina and Brazil the ITL had designed a new speed efforcement
system, with digital capture of the rear tag of the vehicle
and a microwave transmitting system which delivers the image
of the vehicle, with all the needed data, to a mobile control
unit which can be located at up to 5 miles of the speed detection
device. There, the photo will be printed before the vehicle
arrives to the control post and the driver will be stopped
by police officers and fined for their speed violation. Following
the maximum requirements of exactitude and presicion, and
also protecting the violator rights, our speed control systems
are the maximum technology available. Totally automatic, this
speed control system do not allow any operator override. The
system only prints the fines of the violating vehicles with
the maximum speeds allowed by the authorities.
The prints and the digital photos have a serial number which
cannot be altered in the proccess. We offer our system in
two versions; One with the digital photo transmitting device,
which allows the police to stop the vehicle, and the other
without this device, permitting to send the printed fines
by mail to the violator.
